I love the story about John Edwards trying to pull strings at Wal-Mart to get an X-box for his 6-year-old. I like it because it tells how Edwards unwittingly demonstrates (aside from incredible hypocrisy and elitism) his belief in the Wal-Mart ethic . . .
Which is what I thought of when reading this Thomas Sowell op/ed about free markets and Wal-Mart and ignorance.
And speaking of John Edwards and economic ignorance, here’s another op/ed on the subject.

There may be no X-boxes left for Johnny Jr to play with if Pat Robertson’s new prophesy is correct. I understand he predicts that 2007 will reveal a mass murder of Americans in the form of a possible nuclear terrorist attack on the US.
Would someone please do something with him and Jerry Falwell? They are really hurting our cause!

I missed that prophesy, like all his other ones–was he the one that prophesied that Christopher Reeves would walk again if Kerry were elected president?

John Edwards knows a lot about poverty, after all, he’s helped throw a lot of people into it with:
- his co-sponsorship of H-1b visas,
- his support for illegal aliens,
- his vote for MFN-China
but what about stuff like iraq war and the patriot act?
well, he voted for them too
About the only think you can say for Edwards is, he spent so much time running for president that he didnt have time to do more damage as senator
You’ve got to ask yourself – ‘what did he do, with the power he had, when he had it?
